Red face Coolant leak above cath. converter. What is there?

I need help to find the leak for coolant. It drips from the heat shield above the cath converter under the passenger seat. There is nothing dripping in the truck but it drips under the the running boards.

What would be dripping there? How can I fix it.

Regards

Gman

The rear heater lines are leaking. Search rear heater lines. There are several threads of people bypassing them and replacing them.

Coolant lines running to your rear heater (under the passenger seat). Call CDan for the replacements.

X2 on the Heater hoses right about the Catalytic convertors. However, if they are not leaking it could quite possibly be a external head gasket leak. That is what I found on my 94. It was dripping in the middle of the vehicle because the coolant was running down the transmission bell housing.

Not saying that it is..... just check the rear heater lines/hoses first. If not, double check the back of the head.

I guess it is the rear heater line taht is leaking. I will replace or bypass them as snowwolf showed. But it will be not easy to remove the heat shield due to rusted bolts.

I just kept bending the heat shield till it broke the bolts, then used self tappers to put it back.
