A recent oil change revealed I chipped a small tooth fragment off my front diff, probably while giving a huge Dodge Cummins a tug in reverse. I know this 8" reverse cut gearset is weaker going backwards, but it was the only way to free him, no space to turn around, my winch just pulled me closer and I had no trees to anchor off of. I have lockers, was not using them at the time, and I was still running 31x12.5x15 BFG ATs at the time.
Any comments in the way of front end strength on these suckers? I heard about a lot of these breaking. And before you say I'm just too hard on my s***, let me tell you, I am.
This truck is a replacement for my old rock crawler, it's gonna have hard life yet.
