LHD HDJ81? Was this ever made?

I have no idea how they legally imported that vehicle into the U.S. I currently live in England most of the year and have looked at ways to import European (LHD) LC's and there is just no way without spending tens of thousands of dollars (with no guarantees) unless you declare it permanently off-road, limit the amount of time it's in the US and agree to take it out (for European Expats in the US), or import something that's 25 years old or older.

The fines for getting caught doing this (like telling the shipping guys to just put in the front of a 40' container) are very high and include jail time. I would love to know how they got it registered.

I suspect it may have been owned by a diplomat or a spook. That could have been the ticket.

If it's a euro HDJ80 it should have a PT case, you just need to bolt the PTO on.

In the UK, yes, I don't know about the rest of europe. If you meant full floating rears the answer is the same.

For anybody interested in purchasing that rig, I believe the owner just lowered the price to somewhere in the mid-thirties.
