Rear Bearing " Lite " Repack. Can it be done?????

I don't have an SST or access to one anymore, so how do I get the axle bearing nut loose? Brass drift and hammer? Same for tightening?

Would like to leave the existing oil seals cause they have basically no mileage on them, get the axle out just far enough to clean and repack the existing bearings and put it back together.

Any thoughts or comments or am I dreaming.
