Stub shafts

Who can tell me about stub shafts for the front axel and why does my dealer want to replace them on warranty?

How long is a piece of string How should we know why the dealer wants to replace them. But if they really do replace them with Toyota oe units at 130k miles and you don't have to pay, I would keep my mouth shut and take it.

Me too. They are like $500 each plus labor. If it's under an extended warranty, do it.

Just wondering what they were. I was still half asleep when i made the first post. I figured they were an expensive item and they think it will take the clicking around when i turned and i was under the impression that it would require a front axel service/seal/ bearing repack job! I am gonna let them do it, i just have never heard of what they are and what they do! Thanks
