OME bushings fubar...HELP!

Well I just recently purchased a 93 LC. Seems that it has the OME kit, and after going "lightwheeling" a couple times, i noticed a gnarly metal and metal clapping sound. After getting it into the garage and bouncing on the tailgate, noticed the rear shock mount bushings (lower) were completely fubar. Basically the whole rear has about 1/2-1" play as it goes up and down on the bolts, bouncing on them. My question is it is save to drive until i get my new bushings, or should i just take off the shocks until i receive the bushings. Makes a metal on metal sound that really isn't comforting to hear going down a cobble stone road often. Thanks guys. O yea, hear slight clicking on DS at slow speeds...BBS??? thanks for your help cruiserheads.

Personally, I would remove the shocks until you get some new bushings. It will like to bounce, though.

This clicking....does it occur while turning, or slow speeds in general?

seems to be only at slow speeds less than 10 mph. Havn't really ben able to pinpoint it due to the ridiculous rattle of the shocks. thanks for your input. Greatly appreciated.

What does it sound like? Provided you can hear it over the shocks...
