Part-time 4wd transfercase??
Will a part time 4wd transfercase bolt up to a 93-94 80 series tranny? If one will what year of transfercase and out of what vehicle? If one will not, is there any adapter kits available?
Thanks!!! __________________ 1983 Fj60 - off roader 1993 FZJ80 - daily driver 1999 HZJ75 - project |

Haven't found a PT t/c that will bolt up yet... However, Slee sells a PT kit: Slee - Drivetrain - Drive Shafts

IIRC all of them are centered rear output, so what rear axle and gas tank would you run?

Mod the tank, T100 or tundra rear but if it was me id do a Hi9/60 (dunno how this would take the weight of athe FZJ80) combo front and 14bolt rear or all out 2.5 rockwells

Do you think the hi9/60 front and 14 bolt rear take the abuse and weight of the FZJ80 ???

I just got mine out of the shop with the Slee part-time kit. Big difference. With 7-pin mod you will have 2hi, 2lo, 4hi, and 4lo. I will have 2lo with a aussie in the rear, so I will be able to go a lot of places in just 2wd. That will really freak out the land rover guys.

). Besides, isn't that why we drive 4WD vehicles, for the 4 part?

I like my part time, coz I'm not need to dealing with full time or visco coupling issues, and my cruiser it's faster ( in response ) compared to a full time 80 series .. In other hand you have less control over low traction terrain or hi speed situations .. |

Ok guys, I have a 94 LC and I'm thinking of getting the Slee Part Time Kit for it being that I can't find the HF1A Transfercase they make in Australia for the 80 series. How good are these kits comparing to driving the truck in 4WD???
