Exclamation Please HELP! Need friend (shop/mech.) to help me fix my '96 LX

Hello fellow LC Lovers...

PLEASE, PLEASE, HELP!

Thank you for reading this and please excuse me as I am used to reading these types of posts, not posting them. If I ramble for a minute, sorry!

I am looking for a 4x4 repair shop or someone with the experience and the tools, as well as a big heart, that can help me fix my '96 LX 450. I need to reseal the Fr passenger knuckle and related parts as well as a few other things like brakes, gaskets, etc.. I can afford the parts, just need help with the exp. and labor.

With a growing family, I bought this rig last September for more room. Unfortunatly, 2 weeks later I was laid-off when my employer unexpectedly closed up the office. As a professional Title Agent in the struggling Florida real estate market, times have been hard and we have depleated our savings while I have been looking for a new job (in case you know someone looking for a FL Title Agent, I am a Lic. Title Agent w/ 5 yrs exp. combined w/ strong business ethics and unyielding drive, sorry...have to do it).

Anyway, this is why I am asking for help today. As a former small business employee, I like to support small business whenever I can, so if you own a shop and you can help, that would be great. In exchange, other than any help that I could give you, if desired I can offer you space on the back windows of my truck for ad space. I've seen this done before and it is my belief that this would help to get your business name out and about while on the roads, especially for 4x4 enth. Or, if you have a garage set up at your house, that would be great too! Whatever help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated! Like I said, I want to learn. Not only for me, but so that when I am reading a post like this in the future, I might be able to help too.

I am turning to the IH8MUD community for help because whenever I would go to this site in the past, it seemed as tough everyone was really trying to help everyone. Not like some local spots where it's just a salesman dressed like a tech trying to sell me something....and the extended warranty for that something. I am hoping that I can find someone with a big heart here in the Tampa Bay Area wlling to teach me!

I know that I am a rookie on here now, but that is because it has been a while since my last visit (6 mo. or so) and I can't remember what I originally put in. Plus, the email address I had originally used is no longer valid so I can't even get a reminder for what they were. Anyway, I wrote it all down this time though! It's actually because of folks like Romer and CruiserDan, and others as well, plus all the tech info here that I bought my LX in the first place.

Thank You in advance to anyone who can help, and Thank You to everyone for just reading!

I would like to help you out but I do not have my tools with me other wise it will be fun fixing your LX 450 and I'm currently here in Jacksonville for a conference meeting. I'm pretty sure there are some nice FL folks standing by to help you out with your situation. Good luck though.

Too bad you are not in the Jackson, MS area. I have the tools, garage, experience and the urge for pro-bono work for a fellow mud member.
