Where To Start?

Ok, so I've had my 97 FJ80 for about 6 months and have had little time to do anything to it yet so I've got some questions. Since I have access to the steel and the welder necessary for building front brush guard (with a winch support), a back bumper with a tire arm, and the sliders...does anyone have the specs neccessary to pull this off? How about a roof rack?

Also, just out of curiosity, what can be done to this motor to soup it up some? I definitely would like some extra horses under that hood. Hell, while we're at it..I'll be in the market for new tires before August and since I live in the Arkansas Delta, I need some tires that are good for rocks AND still make my Cruiser walk across a flooded rice field during duck season. Just wondering what y'all's opinions might hold.

I'm certainly a Cruisin' rookie, but this vehicle has some badass potential. I just need a little help getting started. Oh, and is Old Man Emus basically the only way to go for a lift on these things or what?

Surely somebody is bound to have some ideas on the matter. Anybody ever rip the carpet out and do a homemade Rhino liner job instead? I'm considering it.

Thanks for being a group of fellas that knows what the hell they're talking about! Enjoy your Cruisers and please help me create a vehicle that will eat my little brother's LR Disco 2 for lunch!

I don't mean to be a jerk, but you should start with (in the following order):

Most of what you are asking has been hashed to death over and over.
