Cranks a long time

My 97 cruiser seems to crank a long time before starting. Once running all is normal. (between 3-5 seconds I'd guess)

Anyone else experience this?

Its been talked about on here before, I think this is normal for a lot of people, my LX450 cranks for 3 to 5 seconds before starting also.

Is it really taking that long?
OBDII systems generally open the injectors and fire the plugs as soon as the PCM sees 2 good crank sensor and 1 good cam sensor signal, IIRC.
How many miles you got? Ever had the fuel pump tested? It may be losing prime when it shuts off.

I think it's a Toyota thing. Everyone I've owned takes a while to crank.
