lock out hub for fj80?

Anyone know if a lockout hub conversion is available for an fj80 front axle?

I don't see why you couldn't use mini truck hubs like we do on the FZJ's.

The AVM hubs that come with the Slee part time kit fit.

IIRC the earlier stock hubs (Mini, FJ60, etc) will fit the FJ80 and early FZJ80 (up to 94?) if they still have the stock short birfs. The later (mid 94 & up?) and all replacement birfs are slightly longer at the spline. They require some spacer/machining play to to get the bushing to birf bell clearance correct and clear the hub dial on the other end.

I run mini-truck lockouts on my '97 axle. The c-clips on the end won't work, even with a spacer as they won't fit under the hub dial. I've been running without the clips entirely and with the inner axles tacked with no problems.

That's one way to skin it!

Also there is some extra meat in the dial that can be removed with some lathe play. I would like to try cutting the splined birf end off even with the inner hub, making a plate washer and holding it together with a button head bolt into the threaded hole in the birf. This is how some of the IFS rigs work.
