94 fj80 question before buying

I am looking at a 94 landcruiser with 150k miles. Its a one owner and never been wrecked. I am buying it for a daily driver. Is there anything that I should look at before buying and is the mileage something that I should have concern with. I know each vehicle is different and this looks to have been only a city driver, I just curious what is typical for this vehicle. Thanks in advance for everyone's imput.

Mileage looks normal to me, there are several here (including me) with well over 200,000 and still running fine.

Was it properly maintained it's whole life? PM done at proper intervals, etc, etc?

My two big concerns would be head qasket and front axle service. Two big ticket items if they have not been done yet. What is the asking price? Does it have lockers?

Don't take the PO's word as gospel either. My 80's PO said all the PM had been done religiously (this is also the same guy that said the "lockers" wouldn't always open the right rear passenger door, but otherwise worked fine)

Something to look for (among others) would be the cooling system. If it has green antifreeze in it, beware.

gas mileage is awful...but you're sportin' a cruiser so who cares. Have a trusted mechanic check out the vehicle and then offer them $4500 and tell'em to call you back if /when they're ready to sell at that price...I would. He who cares the least usually wins...
