Supercharger and York

With a Supercharger installed is there a way to install a YORK air compressor?

Has anybody done it ?

Thanks !

Nope, not that I've seen. The two fight for location. Perhaps a Sanden instead of the York. Smaller footprint along with a horizontal layout.

There is really one option for the Supercharger location. The question is where to put the York.

I don't have a Supercharger and have not seen one installed in person, but it seems that by moving some stuff around it could work.

Perhaps in the PS some room can be made for the York by moving the air filter a little....

Another option is in the DS by relocating the battery to the PS, but is seems to me that more stuff gets in the way.

Maybe under the engine somewhere?. The York can be tilted up to some point.

Not sure... I'm just wondering and looking for feedback. I have a York, and I know I'd like to install a Supercharger once I can get my hands on one.

I want the best of both worlds!

So far everything I read from these threads says that everyone rocking a charger uses another form of OBA such as compressor or CO2 because of just this issue. Its hard enough to run dual batteries with a SC, now add a York and well, you would need to be really creative.

The PS side is taken up by the SC and pulley set up itself. There is no getting a York in there. I can see using a Sanden. But the two SC'd 80s I've seen, there is just no room left for much of anything.

But of course there will be SOMEONE that has done it.

I have a sc and frankly there is no chance in hell that I would get a compressor in there for three reasons. 1) there is very little room and you cant move anything to make more room. 2) the compressor would block air flow that is needed to keep heat down in the engine compartment. 3) if you could manage a way to get one in, if anything needed to be worked on, say a fitting or something you would never be able to get in there to do the work.
