ShortBus Sold

I thought I would post this here as well. Well, end of an era. She is off to her new pastures. May the new owner have tons of fun and no breakages. I am sure he will post up in due course.

Provided hours of entertainment. I thought it was a fitting pictures since I threatened a lot to pull the drivetrain and plant it on a pole in front of the shop. Rotating billboard. Now seeing this, I think that would have been cool.

Mock up an SB2 and run it up the pole. Don't forget to do a disco mod on the lights.

I bought it. My V8 80 has become to nice to wheel hardcore so the shortbus was the ideal candidate to acquire. I had a mini truck for hardcore stuff and just sold it to a friend.

I look forward to being the east coast marketing wing of Slee Off Road. I have a busy summer planned and suspect it will be wheeled as is and only patched up as needed until fall. the yellow might grow on me. I may tinker with the body in the future and might have to put NOS on it to get through the ohio mud.

A couple of weeks ago I made this comment on the "34k v8 80 series" thread:

"While we are on this subject two other great deals of trucks for sale are Podvins 100 series and slees short bus. One couldnt even come close to copying those trucks for the money and time invested in them. If I had more time to wheel and more car storage would buy the both of them."

It made me think........

Did it come with a gallon of Bondo?........

I would have bought it if had had more seats for my kids. It's a sweet truck. Congratulations.

In negotiating the deal we left out the bondo b/c it cost more than the truck.

Congrats, Kirk. I tried to find a way to buy it, but I think mine will end up looking like ShortBus' redneck brother!

Hey Darren, Ben WAS driving it - how else do you think it got into such a precarious position in the picture? Christo doesn't drive hard anymore. Well, maybe in the motorhome he does.
