Cloth or leather?
I have cloth...love it because the seat goes back further than with the power/leather seat. Which I need all the leg room I can get. If you want cloth and it has leather, there are always seat covers! Or if you want power...you could swap with a parted out truck!? __________________ 1994 FZJ80, stock, emerald green, 148k TLCA #14457 LSLC Member TX_TLC ROTW "We will know how long they last when the first one wears out." |

Sounds like you spotted a mutt like mine. I wouldn't let clothe interior scare me off unless I was just going to keep it stock and cruise around town in it and wanted leather and power for that reason. That 94 will have rear drums, a semi-float rear, and a factory installed center diff lock(CDL) switch. A 94 with leather will not have the CDL switch (you can add that later) but will have the full floater and rear disc brakes. Point is if it's a good deal I wouldn't pass it up.

Lots of 93-94's out there with cloth and 4wheel discs and ABS. I've even seen a few with cloth interior and lockers. Cloth will hold up much better over time and power seats are one more item that can break. If it's a good deal and a clean rig jump on it.

My 94 has cloth seats, rear disc (w antilock), full floating axle, and I installed the center diff switch. I prefer the cloth over the leather any day. My interior looks almost brand new compared to most of the rough, faded and cracked leather seats on most 94s. __________________ 1994, 285/75/16, Amsoiled, 175K miles. What? I didn't realize this. My bad. I thought I already saw a discussion about this but apparently I need to get my junk straight, sorry guys.
Oh yeah, thanks Monteburns for quoting me so I can't delete my message and it can be a reminder of my cloth 94 ignorance.

Here is the truck and its priced at 6800 again its a 94 LC with 123K miles
• 4.5L 24 valve I-6 engine • Automatic transmission • 2.5” Old Man Emu Suspension lift and new shocks (Best available for LC’s!) -----well not exactly • ABS • Air Conditioning • Power Windows, locks, mirrors • AM/FM/CD player with iPod connection • Cloth seats • Tilt wheel • 16” Aluminum wheels • 4 wheel disc brakes • 7 passenger seating (far rear seats currently removed) • Factory Running Boards/roof rack • Sunroof • Complete Tune-up (New spark plugs & wires, cap, rotor, PCV valve) – runs great! • K&N Air Filter -----people will tell you to go OEM • New radiator, belts • New front U-joint on front drive shaft • Transmission service • Rear axle service, bearing adjust, new fluid • Husky Floor liners front/rear seating area • 123K miles Needs – front windshield (stars/pitted, but not split anywhere), Right front Birfield starting to click/make occasional noise.[/quote] I can sell you some rear 3rd row seats real cheap as long as you need brown clothe. The windshield can be repaired as long as the stars/pits aren't larger than a quarter and there are no more than 3 spots. __________________ 94 FZJ80/FJ80 MUTT 315 Maxxis Bighorn, Rear Aussied, and stripped of BullSh*t 2" Ironman springs with 1" spacers and Bilsteins courtesy of Frankie's Offroad. Yeah, I didn't mean anythings wrong with it. That's what I'm putting on my truck. I just meant like Vitesse said there are better options but OME is a good start.

Thank you guys so much. You are all very knowledgeable and I appreciate everything you have given thus far.
So based on the info in Post #6 is this a good buy at $6800? |
