The truck: 1994 Sieries 80 Landcruiser (white) with factory lockers
Owner:Steve A
Mileage: 132K
Mods: None
Planned usage: Daily driver for the next six month with an occasional camping trip. Then I'll be taking the truck to Europe to begin the Budapest to Bamako Rally/Race which travels 5,000 miles over 15 days (All but the first three will be in Africa).
I'm gonna need lots of help getting the lc safari-ready, especially since my budget is pretty low and and my mechanical aptitude is even lower. So expect tons of questions.

LHD HZJ80L in Canada
Hi all,
I have owned a 1982 BJ60 for a while, but recently chanced upon a 1992 HZL180L (LHD, diesel, 5speed, fulltime 4WD, barn-doors) truck for sale locally, by someone who had brought it back to Canada from the UK a few months ago. The truck originated its life in Belgium. It's in very good shape, very little rust present. The interior is quite basic (I think it's referred to as the "poverty pack"), but simple to maintain, easy to clean. The engine is the 1HZ non-turbo inline 6 cylinder, which has a good reputation for being a workhorse.
Looking forward to educating myself on 80 Series Land-Cruisers on this forum, as I learn the intricacies of my new truck and the means to maintain it myself.
Best regards,
--Robert

Thanks! No, the interior is mostly vinyl (seats, door skins, even vinyl floor covering).

My first diesel, and my first wagon is a new to us 1990 hdj81, JDM import.
Auto tranny, factory front and rear lockers, camping kit in the back.
Has a rancho lift in it, some 33" or so (metric size, dont know off hand) BFG all terrains, and aftermarker front bumper of unknown origin.
Bought it to phase out the current family hauler, an '02 Sienna, so we can get back to some family camping trips. It will be the wifes daily driver, she doesnt seem to have any rhd issues now.
Its an interesting colour, I have yet to see one like it. A silvery blue, perhaps a pearl might be more accurate. I'll post some pics up soon.

Bought my first TLC today
1. Year and model
1990 HDJ81 1HDT VX Limited
2. Name of owner
Ken
3. Name of rig
Unnamed yet
4. Mileage
101K
5. Mods...if any
Well I just purchased it today and am under the impression it’s mostly still factory.
I am told this is the camper version. Fully loaded from Japan. So other than what one would expect I do like: Slight lift for 33x12.50 MTs, Turbo Timer, F&R Lockers, Power everything, and my favorite the 12 can beer fridge in the console (Center Console Cooler / Ice Maker). How cool is that!!
. How the truck is used
This is my Daily Driver and family get away truck. It isn’t a Pavement Princess. I won't do harsh wheeling; I got that out of my system years ago with my 4Runner. I have 1000s of KM of Logging Roads to explore. I don't need to treat it with disrespect.
This is my first TLC. I've torn apart 2nd Gen Runners and love the Toyotas, lots to learn here. For balance I've also spent that last 15 years with my other pride and joy
.
.
