So far in this thread, all these people have stated they want one as long as shipping isn't outrageous--as in a total of around $200 USD.

That's 15 so far. Not sure if there's a certain number where this should be capped or not... We may want to cap it at the $2000 USD mark (not including shipping) given the import rules mentioned previously. So at $~130, that'd actually be 15.3. So 15. Or groups of 15.

Would this fit a FJ80 (3FE)? If so I'm in for sure!

I'm located in Burbank, CA (near los angeles). I can assist with shipping if need be.

oh yea, just another tip for you. You will need to provide a Bill of lading, packing list and invoice which the packing list and invoice can be created by you. You can actually put lower value per item, but not too much or else the custom officer will suspect. And you might want to declare as different snorkel for different vehicle instead of one type of vehicle with a lot of amount. You will have to pay duty on this, they will consider this as commercial goods. The custom has a code to determine your rate by HTS code (Harmonized Tariff Scheduled). Home Page of HTS :2008-01-01 - Basic, Official Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Annotated
Check and see if you have a local custom office so you can have the paperwork ready and clear it yourself. By the importation law, as long as the value is less that $2000 for commercial item, you can file informal entry by yourself. But sometimes the custom officer can be an asshole and make you do formal entry. You will probably end up paying $200-$250 extra by using broker. And if it is your 1st time entry, the custom might tag your goods for examination, that might throw you off for another $300. It happened to me for my 1st entry, so I want you to know and all the mudder know the final price may vary if that happen. Something for you to take into consideration.

I think you have a very valid point, prior to shipping and buying do chck with customs.

there is a guy on here in the shipping business that spoke up in the HUMMER tires sale in the wheels and tires section http://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-tires-w...mer-tires.html

(post #31) his board name is ColoCruiserJeff...maybe he can help with the shipping issues...

Sorry guys!

BTW, if you can get the whole kit for $134-ish, plus reasonable shipping, that's a killer deal.

I'm sure you didn't need to hear that from me to realize that.

GOOD LUCK!!

FWIW When mine shipped from Japan the weight was less than 20 lb, and the box was roughly 4 1/2' long and maybe 10" square. A different distributor may package the items differently though. I hope this all goes well for you guys.

Also, I'm wanting to go with a 70 series topper on mine. Anybody else interested? If it seems to make things too complicated, then I won't worry about it, but I like the look of this a lot better than the 80 series topper. I have no idea if they are rated for the same air-flow, but obviously somebody is doing it like this. Maybe I'll just get one of each.

Yeah, the 80 series air cleaner element is kind of bulbous.... but for the price I can live with it.
