What's the bar in the rear in the window for on the 80?

Brain,

I believe all the 5 passenger JDM 80 models come with this guard; possible for protection of the rear window.
These 80's are rated to carry a max payload of 350kg.

I use mine to hangs things from, secure items and attach fire extinguishers.
