Post Lots of oil build up

Hello, this will be my second post now. I have a 93 FJ80 with 200K on the original motor, Truck actually runs very well. I have only owned the vehicle for a couple months now and recently I did a tune up and notice a large amount of oil deposit and buildup on the front and bottom of my engine. What is a typical gasket that goes bad. I have not noticed any low oil from the crank case I check it every few weeks.
What are some other recommended items that I should be looking at servicing soon with the 200k mileage. Like I said, vehicle drives fine but I am unsure of the past service history and would rather take all precautions to get the best engine, transmission and drive train components.

Also I wanted to have an alignment put on this unit, any recommendations in Denver CO. I am just about to head to the dealer but was unsure if that will be my best bet.

I have been looking for aftermarket parts and keep coming accross the term slider. What is this referring too.

I have used BG products on every vehicle I have ever owned and have always noticed a differance, what are your views with BG products and these inline 6 motors with BG.

Thanks
Jeremy

First of all, if you don't know already, there's a wealth of information already available to you in the Search feature. There's a button for it near the top of the page.

I'm not sure about the oil leak, but it might be a blown valve cover gasket. My 94 FZJ-80 is at 164k mi and I needed to replace my leaking valve cover last month.

Sliders, or "rock sliders" as they're called, help protect the underside of the car (specifically the rocker panels) when climbing over obstacles. High quality after-market ones (as offered by Metal Tech, Solid Rock Off Road, Slee, and many more) are made of thick steel and mount to the frame for strength. The factory made ones, more often called running boards, are very weak and attach to the body. This thread has a bunch of info and some good pictures.

Here are a few pictures taken from Metal Tech's website:

Some badass sliders (the big black metal parts just under the doors):

I hope that helped!

I'm a newbie here too. Read the FAQ pages on the 80 series tech page. There is ton's of information there. I've been reading the heck out of it and have found out a lot of info (on where my paychecks are going for the bulk of next year)... but seriously. Many people out there going through exactly what you're going through, and lots to be learned from them.

If the valve cover is dry and the front of the motor is dry it could also be the front oil pan arch or the timing cover. Both are usual suspects in what you describe.

I'd think the oil leak is the oil pump gasket. The typical sign is oil dripping off the front of the motor just below the vibration damper.
