| Wheeling: First time! Took the LX450 out for the first time (Reiter Pit, WA) since the install of the new tires, pics tell it all
Heres the LX sitting at the highest point it can get to on this road:
Random shots of a Creek crossing, note the stock suspension flex lol:
And after all was said and done, look at the mess we made! Think it needs a wash?
And last but not least, the damage acrued for the day :(
All in all I had a blast, regret not installing sliders BEFORE I took it out with stock height suspension, but meh, battle scars, right?

| Sliders would have cost less.
Cheers,
Sean

| Good on ya for taking that thing out and using it proper. Next mod should be some sliders if you want to keep some of the dents away.
by the way...I think it looks better with the mud on it.

And yeah, I should have gotten sliders first. Had I picked a better line, the damage wouldnt have happened anyway though (took my stock 4Runner through there 3 months ago, no damage), basically a my bad all the way around haha.
Love the tires so far, havent had any traction problems to date, but thats only my first time out. They are louder than the AT's I had on there prior, but I have no other comparison for sound level. They drone a bit at highway speed, but its not unbearable.

| Why was the highest point?
Just curious, because you have no lockers?

| First pic: Highest point because theres a large rock ledge 10 feet in front of where I parked, and without another vehicle there to help in case I really get stuck or worse, break something, I wasnt going to try it :P
I live in Mill Creek (East side of I5 from Everett)

| What awaits if you continue up the trail. You stopped before the best parts! We will have to go up there some time.

| I also got tied up in that crossing, although I think the water was a little higher when we went.
Its awesome to be driving up river beds!

| Alright... this is on my list of places to go. I'm getting the sliders on Memorial day, the OME 850/863 lift is in the living room aching to go on, and new tires will be soon after all that. Let me know if there is going to be a group trip
Currently the only place I've taken mine is Tahuya in current stock form. (found out why one should remove the mudflaps, although I only cracked 1 fiberglass flare mount that way.

| Good on ya for putting the Lexus to use.
Last time I was on the trail (Reiter Pit outside Monroe, WA) was back in 1997 with my old 40. A few hundred yards after the log bridge there was a huge avalance the winter prior that clogged the trail with 6 or 8ft ft. wall of logs, trees, brush for 200 yds or more - what a mess. Never found out how much further the trail went.
Anybody know if the trail was ever cleared? That was a lot of firewood! |
