I too can say that I have seen this rig in person. Very meticulously put together. Great powder coating all around and super clean/professional wiring/assembly. Look forward to seeing you on the trail again in the future Steve.

What a great write up. Your rig looks awesome. You clearly put a lot of thought into whatyou wanted to do and the end result is great.

Thanks for sharing

So, you powder coated everything under including axle housing? How much does it cost? Thanks,

Thanks everybody. Actually I only powdercoated all of the parts I've added (except the shocks), not the axle housing. But if I ever do something different with the front suspension, I'd consider it.

This rig is very sharp + is the first Slee 6" rig I've had the pleasure to see in person & wheel with. Steve has built himself a beautiful and very capable rig.

I still owe you a .

That truck looks awesome. I assume it came with factory elockers?

You have 4:88's as well.... do you mind disclosing what it gets on the hwy (MPG) going a constant 70mph or so?

My LX450 has lift/tire envy.....

Thanks everybody. I've only managed to stockpile one set of 4.88's so far, so I'm still running stock gears. This isn't my DD so I rarely get it up to 70. When I go wheeling I average about 10MPG (maybe a little more if you compensate for the bigger tires) for the trip which is obviously a mix of hwy driving and creeping along off the road.

Excellent write up, and that's a great ride you've got. What mods do you want next?

Thanks, after my rear storage is completed I'm definately going to be doing a rear bumper. After that will probably be gears, axle rebuilds and maybe Longfields. There is also a possibility of doing a three link at the same time as the front axle work. I just haven't had time to do the research yet. I'm also going to be upgrading my rear shocks to Fox's (which I can probably get for cost ). I also plan on doing aux input on my factory stereo for my ipod. I'd better wrap it up about here as I'm giving myself a wallet ache

Thanks, yeah Zoey is my best buddy and a great co-pilot as well as an awsome overall wheeling companion

Sweet truck.

I love this pic with your dog's head out the window. He's like , "Hey, what's up."

Great job. By the way, who's truck inspired you? It doesn't look like Wild Yoats, so who is it?

Thanks guys.

That's my buddy Bill's rig. He lives in AK but grew up in CA. He's one of the best off road drivers I know and certainly opened my eyes to the potential of an 80 off road. With any luck I may get to run Alaska Trek '08 with him.

I don't even know if he has "screen name" here. I think he pretty much just checks up from time to time and does covert research.

Here's a pic of another of my biggest inspirations for my project: it's clarkrw3 if you don't recognize his rig
