Mystery stall....

The local highway here is punctuated by stoplights every 10-15 miles or so.

I have noticed that my LC occasionally stalls when I reduce the speed to less than 10mph (ie when stopping for a light) after more than a few minutes at highway speed. The longer the drive between stops, the more likely it seems the truck will stall when stopping.

To make this even more weird, it seems to happen more often when the period right before the stall has been a descent in altitude.

It doesn't happen all the time; just occasionally. And never when driving city speeds or driving around town.

I suspect this has to do with some sort of build-up in gasses from maintaining a constant RPM for a certain amount of time.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

I'm getting new O2 sensors next week... I'll see if that has any effect at all.

Just carefully look for cracks.

Or: spray some (sensor safe) carb-cleaner type stuff on the outside of the hose with the engine running. If you hit a leak, some of it will get sucked in and raise the idle. (Standard vacuum leak detection trick.)
