I don't believe there is a kit, though where there is a will there is a way, and I'm sure it could be done by a skilled person.

Front Range Off Road Fabrication makes a conversion kit for the mini-truck/4Runner. Maybe they can help you:

buy a 1993 or newer rear end hub to hub, you will spend far less time and money upgrading this way (toyota invented this wheel already!) and you will get the axle shafts and full floater as well (maybe an elocker while at it? ) to nickle and dime a "kit" for the rear you are looking at $$$s (the mini truck rear disc conversion after parts will run well past the going price of a used rear full floater from a 93-97 80) plus time is money.

Does anyone know if the 3rd members are the same? Could I take the 3rd off my 91 rear axle and put it in 93-97 housing? If so, would the axle shafts fit?

Profitts makes brakets for fj4060,62, I am sure they could make one for the 80...I believe the brakets run around 20 bucks, plus GM calipers 40, Brakes lines and pads 40....

Yes a big improvement on my cruisers.
