Favorite CDL switch locations

So I've been searching for about an hour now on the CDL switch and seen some good posts. I'd like to know where people have installed their add-on CDL switch (even if you used a hazzard or other switch). Post pics if you have 'em. Thanks!

On my '97 80, I put them in this order:

Top Row:
CDL switch, Alarm, Hazard

then below:
R. Heater, R. Defrost

I like the CDL switch closest to the steering column corresponding with the Diff Lock Switch on the other side. Also puts the alarm blinker closer to the center for better visibility.

Oops, sorry- you guys with the newer trucks may not have this. It's basically the PWR (power) button, it's marked ECT, but lights up PWR on the cluster when depressed.

And I just remembered, my HAZ button isn't in the top row, it's by the air vents.

I moved the antenna switch down to the lower row. You have to cut through the black tape around the wiring. And, don't scratch up the front of the console like I did. That sucks!

Top row, right where you can see it - because you'll forget about it. You'll turn the dial one day and your locker lights will blink and blink and blink. You'll start to panic, begin mentally calculating the cost of tearing down the actuators and solenoids, and start dialing CDan's number for parts.

Then, you'll remember the CDL switch . . .

I installed mine down low, by the t-case shifter. Had to extend the wire harness to do it.

top row: hazard, defrost, alarm, antenna
bottom row: blank for future subtank, heater, CDL

This made sense to me as the hazard is easy to get to. The rear defrost is above the front defrost, the alarm is front and center so prying eyes can see it, and the antenna switch is above the radio. On the bottom I liked the rear heater loaction being below the temp selector. And the CDL being close to the T-case shifter. I had to length the alarm wires and unwrap some factory tape bundles to get everything to fit. Your mileage may vary.

I also extended my wiring harness to make the switch in an area that seemed a little more logical to my personal preference (AKA: LOCKER ENVY).

Hmmm, I like that location, it is more logical and would look wonderful next to the lovely locker dial too!

The switch would come out without removing the panel if you had some way of getting ahold of it without marring something up. My advice is to take the 5 minutes and pull the bezel
