16" Rim Questions

I need someone's help. I was putting on my new wheels yesterday and was totally surprised to find out that 3 of my wheels are of wheel 1 style (see attached photo) and 2 were of wheel 2 style. I didn't know that this was possible. 2 of the same style rims having different lug nots required. I took photos of the lug nuts I have and was wondering if either one will fit wheel 2 style. I know lug A goes with wheel 1 but will lug B go with wheel 2? Help please!

you have mixed year wheels, the early wheel had a steel insert and a conical seat and takes the conical lug nut.

the later wheel has a washer type and a flat seat with no steel insert.

the two diffrent types also take a diffrent torque. of the top of my head something like 75 for washer style and 105 for conical.

So... My wife's red '96 has the proper '96 wheels on it with the washer lugs. I torque it to ~76 ft-lbs in 2 increments.

My grey '96 has wheels off of a '94 with seated acorns. I've been torquing it to 85 ft-lbs in 2 increments. Are the wheel studs the same? I.e. should I be torquing mine to 105 ft-lbs? I've not been quite sure where to set the '96 with older wheels.

The PO put real sucky chrome aftermarkets on my grey one. I finally got them replaced with real Land Cruiser wheels this year.

studs are the same. I would like to hear from soemone with a 93/94 FSM before you go with 105 though. that was from memory.

Please... Someone post it up. I have the FSM for '96, but since I'm off-year on these, I've never been 'sure'.

Thank you. I suppose I should go out and torque down my '94 rims on my '96 to 109... That seams like a LOT of torque though.

The owners manual for my 1994 LC says 108 ft. lbs. torque.

Riley

edit: I have the style B lug nuts (pictured above) ala acorn style.
