FJ80 Manual Tranny swap

Ok, so I have looked all over here for the past week, and searched the internet, and I can find no information on putting a manual transmission behind the 1FZ motor. preferably an NV4500, but im open to suggestions. Anyone here have some ideas, or can you point me in the right direction of where to start looking?

Thanks!

Ryan

Maybe look in harcore, there is a 6 speed manual from a Taco being hooked up behind a 1FZ I believe. Don't know about NVs. It would probably be easier to get a manual from a non USA 80.

Non-US 70/80's had the H150/H151 5-speed behind the 1FZ - I know $OR imports them occasionally. This is going to be your best bet for a manual, but the 80-specific pedals and linkages are hard to get a hold of.

if there was a way you could mate an 2f or 3f bell housing to an 1fz you could run the h55f 5 speed from yota...then run a toybox and split case while your at it. Thats if the flywheel also bolts up from the 60 series.

You are correct.

I guess that will not work in this situation.
