| Some Dash Lights don't work after Scion Radio install Am I missing something here? I installed the newer version Scion head unit in my 95 and now half my ac control lights don't work (bottom half) and a handfull of dash switches in the general area (hazard, antenna, rear heater). This is the second Scion head unit install that I have done. The first one was a 1st gen HU.

Since all you mentioned are located in the same area AND failed after you did the new head unit, check the connections and retest before you put it all back together.

| I would check for blown fuses. I had to replace one after my install, but I can't remember if it affected any of the lights you're indicating. Either way, that's where I'd start.

| I am going to recheck the install again and check for fuses. Like I said It's weird because half the lights in the HVAC control box don't work. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

| When I replaced my HU my AC-heater controls didn't work. I reopened the dash and found that I had not fully engaged the plugs.

| I agree, check that your plugs are push all the way on. I had the same problem since the harness is so short. |

| Make sure the bulbs are still in place if the actual button still works? Did you wire up the illumination wire to the radio correctly?

| It's been my personal observation that when removing dash components on an older vehicle, afterwards you may have multiple bulb failures. "Disturbing" the bulbs seems to cause them to fail in some cases. Why it happens from pulling switches/controls out of the dash, but not from jolts/bumps on the road, I can't say. If you don't find an obvious problem such as an unplugged connector, try swapping a working bulb for one of the non working ones (maybe swap the climate control bulbs around and see if the problem moves with the bulb). |

Just pop into the dash, disconnect the switch and push the switch out through the dash (there are a couple of plastic arms on the switch that hold the switch to the dash, they need to be gently pressed).
This is also a case where ordering from Dan makes it easy. I replaced some of my burnt bulbs and they all seemed to be slightly different. I would hate to have to explain this to the local dealership guys or try to find aftermarket ones.
