By the way. Romer I'd like to applaud your effort organizing the 80 area here. Best organized forum I have ever seen.
Keep up the good work

With medium lift and all the armor, it rode fine, but the weight lowered the lift. Nice thing about OME, just a little bit of time to swap springs and then you can resell the springs for 2/3's of what you paid for, so not to expensive to upgrade.
The dents were straightned by Oleg, he pounded, filled, slightly, sanded and painted.

slight hijack to let ddorsh know that adding a warn 10k winch to my arb slightly overwhelmed my medium lift at the front

Great write up Ken. After going to the supercharger, do you have any concerns about your transmission flairing between gears?

LEXUS LX450 front bumper Q's
I own the same type, LX450, vehicle but with 170K!
My wife rear-ended another truck & tore up her front bumper. The repair shop wants $450 to fix it but i am trying to lean her towards an ARB and I think your testimony and pictures will help me with her.
However, if she still wants it back to stock, would you still have your original bumper for sale to me?
Thanks for a great thread and glad to hear no one was hurt.

Bowyer,
If Romer doesn't still have his available you might want to check the for sale section here. Or, I will have one available soon coming off my black LX450 so you'd have to have it painted. Not sure where you are located so you may want to search locally to save $$ on shipping.

Very nice rig! Are you still happy/satisfied with the mounting of the pda? How is that mounting system holding up? I have the garmin blutooth with an ipaq and I want to mount it in the same place as yours. Right now i just have it wedged inbetween the ash tray and the stereo.
Thanks,
Ben

That mount is holding up well and was worth the extra money. I have wheeled with it and poped the Dell in and out many times with no issues.

Romer,
Kudos on your rig and the upgrades. I have a 97' 40th anniversary Limited Edition TLC No. 0914. I bought it with 85k miles and have 134k on it now and it drives like a champ. I took off the running boards due to light rust. I plan on sanding and repainting, but I liked the way your rig looked. My rig is basically the same color and you pretty much sold me on the lift pkg you have. I am also interested in learning more about the TRD supercharger and how much $ it was.
I live in WI so not much hardcore wheeling, but once it is set to go, I would be willing to make the trek to some rallies! Any within 12 hrs or so? I am about 7-8 hours from St. Louis. I will see when the next rally in MO is.
I will try put some pics on here soon.

The Supercharger was $2900, but they have just discountinued it. Might see if you can still find one.
We will be having a ralley in Denver in August. This will be followed by trail runs in the rockies. We will post detail in the trails section after Cruise Moab in May

Really nice rig! Looks like you have finally gotten it to where it should have been off of the assembly line. -but working on it is half the fun, right?
Nice job!

And here is one I finished just today after passing my FCC Technicians Test
I installed my setup after passing my test today. I still need to clean up the cable routing a bit and put clips for the mic in.
I installed the radio on top of the Safari Drawers and am tthinking I don't need to run an external speaker, but I ran the cable to the front just in case. I can always plug headphones into it as well
I velcroed the Head Unit to the bottom of the CB with the bottom resting on the CB external speaker.
I have anough antenna cable that I don't need an extension.
Here is the stuff I bought. And thanks to firsttoy on the heads up not to buy the seperation kit when you can buy the cables for $15 on ebay.
FT-7800R -- Yaesu FT-7800R 2M/70CM Dual Band FM Transceiver. Wide Receive of 108-520MHz and 700-999MHz (Cell Blocked). NOAA Weather Alert. Illuminated keypad & microphone.

Just thought I would update.
I installed the OEM Subtank from Australia and created this FAQ thread about it
I Installed the Safari Snorkel
I installed the JDM Aux Fan and wrote about it in this thread
I also Installed the new MAF Sensor from Landtank
Between the MAF and the snorkel I can really feel the difference with my supercharged truck.
