Request Recomendations on PM & Mods to Perform While Dash is Disassembled

Tomorrow (Saturday) at 1430Z (when the garage whose space I rent opens), I'm going to change the oil, and then open up the dash to perform the RavenTai temperature gauge modification.
I will also replace the dead light bulbs in the dash (thanks for the efficient service and shipping, CDan), and add a hazard switch-cum-CDL switch.

I'd like to get everything done at once, so I don't have to repeatedly disassemble and reassemble all those delicate plastic trim bits.

Is there anything else that you can think of that I should do while I'm down there?

Regards,
Jon

You might want to see what kind of shape your ducts are in. My defroster ducting was brittle and coming apart. I replaced it with flexible metal ducting from Home Depot. Just a suggestion. BTW It is pretty easy to get to the driver side when the panel is out, The passenger side is a little harder to get to. I would guess that it would be similar on an 80....Maybe not.

Run a half dozen signal wires through the firewall and over to where the blanks are left of the steering wheel for future use.
Winch in
Winch out
fog lights
offroad lights
air compressor
aux fan
laser canon
NO2 trigger
underbody offroad lights
The list goes on and on... At least in my dreams... Too many ideas so little time.

Grench - thanks for the idea. I will give that a shot. I am hoping to eventually add a winch, lights, and compressor, so I will see about running those wires tomorrow.

Does anyone know what gauge wire is recommended for running relays for those items? The closest my search came up with was a vague mention of 18 ga. wire.

Sully - Thanks for the reminder- it almost slipped my mind to do the 7-pin.
