Locating bolts for auto trans?

When I pulled my motor (3.0) my trusty haynes manual talked about making locating pins out of old bolts to help with reinstallation. The thing is those bolts are M9x1.25,(bolt the flywheel to the torque converter) I haven't been able to find such a thing even at my local fastener shop who up until now had everything known to man. Do I really need them or can I install the motor without them? Thanks.

that haynes is better left in the recycling bin for tuesdays early pickup.

seems like all they are saying is there is a trick to get a job done, and it is not nessicary. just "install reverse of removal"
