Went to change the fan clutch & found this

Well the fan clutch was turning way to easy even after being driven for a long time so at 285K I thought time to change it...... well after getting it off I found this

Looks like the clutch has loosened up & then allowed the pulley to start cutting the pulley studs.

Glad I found this before the studs were cut in half.

Guess Monday AM Toyota getting a parts order.....

I would elongate the holes so they fit over the studs easily and reuse that pulley. If the fan clutch is tight, it won't move
Really, easy enough to find in the wrecking yard.
That fan clutch must have been very loose to do that.
