Wink

Needs a basket system, and I just so happen to know of a friend of yours selling one. Great price, shipped to your door ( or RV) Link's in the sig.

Yes, I would actually ship to you b/c I know I can hunt you down.

Better yet, pay me enough and I'll drive it out myself. I'll call the thread about the trip "F-This, I'm going to Keith's place!"

What are the odds, I was looking at buying a used one just like that last year - even had a guy willing to drive it up to Oregon when I was passing through

I am tempted, but right now I have too much else going on: backhoe, elocker + regear, bills, etc. Good luck on the sale though anyway (sold my rims just over 1 hour after listing them today, but that's my Yukon Gear money )

another minor project this weekend that I've been meaning to do for awhile - gotta love Roger Brown (4crawler.com). I always find something minor that I haven't done yet, but suddenly can't live without on his site.

Relocated the OH-SH*T handle from the driver rear to the front (threaded holes are already there from factory) so I can use it to hop in easier & mounted my 3D cell MagLight where the handle used to be

last day for me, and I don't have any updates on the Toyota - I got a 4.88 front diff, waiting to buy gears for the elocker 3rd that I have - so I thought I'd post an update on my mini-backhoe instead

got a bit more work done on it in the last few weeks - engine runs great, just needed to be blasted out with some carb cleaner and have the low speed jet cleaned. I also poured SeaFoam down the carb while cranking until it hydrolocked (low speed crank = no damage, don't try this at home) and let it sit for an hour so it could seep into the rings and free them up nicely (no more exhaust smoke ) then I blew it all out the tailpipe. found a front shroud on ebay for $10, and got the governor linkages all reassembled and adjusted. installed the hydraulic pump yesterday and decided to finish up the exhaust today. here's the 2-1 collector I made for the header out of a piece of 2" i.d. reducer with some 1 5/8" universal flex pipe to the muffler

my roomie couldn't get rid of this CBR muffler for $5 so he donated it to my cause, just had to weld one 1/4" tab onto the reservoir so I could bolt my muffler on to that

I was thinking of running it like a stack with one of those little flapper valves on the top to keep water out, but that would've put the exhaust pipe too close to the rubber suction hose for the pump

front crossmember plating

definately - - next weekend I'm gonna get a steering stabilizer back into the beast. this was today's work:

I don't want to lift the front of my 'runner any more than it already is, but last trip out I found that I kept bashing the front crossmember and it got dented up fairly well.. I consider skid plates to be "consumables" when offroad, so I'm not worried that the front skid also got a bit thrashed.
So this is the shape of my reinforcement. You can see the score lines where I was going to bent it to wrap around and under

I cut the top off so it would conform better to the front crossmember

all done 1/4" steel to help guard my front crossmember

the next part of this will be a skid extending from the front crossmember to the one I made tying the lower-rear control arms together. This way, any hits I take to the front will be spread out a bit - I try not to slam around that hard anyway

Skid looks good. Mine is beat up pretty bad after the last trip to Rausch, Yellow Jacket really did a number on it with the 3rd gear double low launches to get over the first ledge. I am considering that crossmember disposable at this point since I have the SAS ready to go in December
