Chevy 5.3 swap into 89 3.0 4runner

I was having a lil too much fun few days ago in he eveglades and i swamped my 3.0. I hydrolocked it and im 99.999% sure i bent a rod r something because the engine has ceased. Wont turn over with the spark plugs out and i couldnt even turn it over manually by the crankshaft with a huge breaker bar. So my options are to either take it to a shop to have them rebuild $$ or swap my avalanches' 5.3 over to my 89 4runner . I believe advancedadapters.com sells a bell housing that will allow me to use my current 5speed with the 5.3 but Im interested in keeping the chevys ac so keep cool. Has anyone tried this before? Is it possible? Any info would help. Thanks ladies n gents..

Play over on Pirate for a bit and review Smashmetal's thread: Ton'd, repowered with LT1 as well as Crash's: SB350 Swap .

Smashmetal's using a 5.7 LT1 out of a 9C1 Caprice. There's also a couple other new build ups to cross reference. IIRC you will seriously have to consider whether or not you want to gum up your pump though, as it sits even lower than the Toyota one on that engine. Either way you should have some better direction now as it's all based off of similar blocks. Be prepared to also have to completely update to current A/C regs. (*Own a DOJ Buick Estate Wagon w/ the 9C1 package i have to do the A/C on soon, IIRC it was quoted at around $900-1200 w/ parts/labor.)
