Thanks, I'll borrow one and try that. The mp3's turned out really well, the sound is very 'tinny' and 'hollow'. Other people have suggested it may be an accessory bearing on it's way out or an idler pulley. In clip #2, when I rev it, I thought it was interesting that it seemed the engine slowed down more quickly than the sound, or at least that's what it sounded like to me.
