Howdy! Always start with the cheap and easy fixes. Is there really fuel in the truck? Replace fuel filter, and make sure the air filter is not plugged. Does it still turn over OK when you key the starter? John

Thats good advice Ink, will check fuel and filter, We did clean an reoil the K+N air filter then he was on some very dusty logging roads fo 30 miles or so. I will unhook the battery to try and reset the brain. is there o2 sensors on the 91 v6? Truck turns over fine and sounds OK. Battery light is on.
Ray the truck is in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island in British Columbia in Canada. My son was surfing and camping on the west coast Of the Island.
Broke down
Thanks any input would be huge
Thanks

It still turned over nice and I think the baterry light was on only when he was trying to start it, I think that is normal.

I can't think right off if that is normal or not........

Does have an O2 sensor but AFAIK they don't cause a no-start issue.

Sorry don't have much experience with the 3VZ.

Pull a plug wire and see if you're getting spark, that will narrow it down some. If you have spark, then look to the fuel filter/pump/no gas. If you don't have spark, check for loose connections at the air flow meter, throttle position sensor (probably wouldn't cause a no start...) or anything to do with the distributor and coil/ignitor. Also look for bad ground connections etc. Good luck!

Could it be a vacuum line has cracked all the way through? I had a really bad time with a large vacuum line that was hidden under the intake on my '88 22RE. Just a thought.

Not a bad thought Bako, and there are lots of vac lines on the 3V.... Also check for cracks in the intake tube from the air flow meter to the intake. A big leak here will not let the air meter tell the computer that the engine is running, or trying to...
