Toyx4fun needs a little credit in this section
Old boy came down on a whim for me, cause my legs I have a tough time doing certain things. anyway to get to the point he pulled the head really fast along with the intake and all that crap. just shy of 2 hours.
Then we drank large quantities of beer
In the am it took him like 1 hour to install head ,adjust vales while I did the petty stuff. 2 hours the car was rolling......perfect minus the shitty carb of course.

Ive got it down to a science, pulling the head, oil pan, exhaust, timing cover, etc, etc... Takes me roughly 1.5-2hours, putting it back together about 3hours. Ive done it enough that its not a chore anymore, more like a hobby

*I shouldn't continue w/ the O-T but Keith's a good guy, try to meet up with him and wheel sometime. From the sound of it you all should be a pretty well knit group of Toyota enthusiasts out in WV..wish we had that a little more out here lately.[/O-T]

i am hoping we can. there are very few offroaders around here the ones that do offroad do not know what they are doing, they usually look for water in a field or on a trail and they turn it into a mud bog. the next thing you know a trail is shut. no questions and unless you want to risk being incarcerated never to be driven on again. but just to have someone within an hour that likes to offroad and work on their rig is awesome. i have been by myself with these interest for way to long.

yeah, I'm looking forward to WV - everyone I met so far has been cool. Even when we were still looking for property, we'd pull over on a dirt road and if anyone was driving by they'd stop and ask if we were alright - whether they were genuinely concerned or just curious who was driving around with Jersey plates (work car) doesn't matter, I can appreciate the underlying reason for either motive.
As far as tread lightly goes, I'm more interested in traveling the unbeaten path to see the things most people don't (expedition style) and leave them just as pristine as when I got there (minus the noise from my exhaust), not destroying my rig to conquer a mud hole or prove bragging rights.
