Ac/heating blower motor problem

Hey guys, I have a problem with my blower motor. I have a 5 position switch in a 1984 pickup 4wd 22r dlx. One postion is off and the others are blower motor speeds. Low, med. low, med. high, and high. When the switch is in the 2 lowest modes, the blower does not operate. When it is in the two highest modes, it blows air with no problem. I did try a new switch and come to find out that is not the problem. i find it hard to believe it is the blower motor since it does work on the two high speeds. Any ideas? Thanks!

Not your switch. Not your motor. Your resistors are busted. They are located on the firewall, sort of behind the glove box. You don't need to remove the box to access them. One screw takes them out. Easy fix. Do a search on blower resistor, you might even find pics.

Yep, I second pappy's post. I've already done it once on my '94. Need to do it on my '89.
