Corner strap to assist in holding up the side when the sides themselves are rolled up. I think there is four of these per side and two in the back.

Good posts!

BTW..it's an auto, right? Way to keep the stoke going passing the fun on, but she's in the wrong seat and find a spot to make her drive!

*Best thing Gramps and Dad ever did was throw me behind the wheel of the truck. I can't wait 'til our little girl to be's old enough to do the same.

My old Kayline

That looks pretty good. I have an old Kayline on mine...actually, I have it stored for now. It works, but the original owner had it for a few years and now I have had it for a few, and its showing its age. Here are the problems with my kayline:
I have lost a few snaps, and replaced ones that didn't require sewing, but one or two of them are on the roofline and I had the top pop off going down the highway.
One of the tensioning straps came off while tensioning, so I use a black strap to pull the bow back and create tension...works pretty good.
I lost one of the antenna sized bow separators, so I use black straps to do the job..works good too.
I have never ever been able to get all snaps to snap in place.
The zippers on the back like to get off track and separate on their own. I have fixed this, but I have to watch them.
Like all soft tops, the windows are getting hazy and I can't put it on if its under 70 degrees. I have a portable heater that I use if I get caught with the top up and its cold.

I am at a crossroads on fixing everything and living with it or buying a new soft top. Please keep us posted on issues that you may or may not have with yours.
I am thinking of having mine fixed and having velcro sewn into it instead of using the snaps, but that might be more trouble.

So it is an auto still or not, I miss something? If not, do like I did. http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota...ml#post4699578

Better yet, fly me out to WV and I'll help you do the swap. Then, do like my family did and teach the kid to drive a stick, so if something ever should happen and you can't drive, they can.
