My old Kayline
That looks pretty good. I have an old Kayline on mine...actually, I have it stored for now. It works, but the original owner had it for a few years and now I have had it for a few, and its showing its age. Here are the problems with my kayline:
I have lost a few snaps, and replaced ones that didn't require sewing, but one or two of them are on the roofline and I had the top pop off going down the highway.
One of the tensioning straps came off while tensioning, so I use a black strap to pull the bow back and create tension...works pretty good.
I lost one of the antenna sized bow separators, so I use black straps to do the job..works good too.
I have never ever been able to get all snaps to snap in place.
The zippers on the back like to get off track and separate on their own. I have fixed this, but I have to watch them.
Like all soft tops, the windows are getting hazy and I can't put it on if its under 70 degrees. I have a portable heater that I use if I get caught with the top up and its cold.
I am at a crossroads on fixing everything and living with it or buying a new soft top. Please keep us posted on issues that you may or may not have with yours.
I am thinking of having mine fixed and having velcro sewn into it instead of using the snaps, but that might be more trouble.
