T-100 timing belt change
I'll be changing the timing belt on my V-6 3.0 93 T 100 soon and want to know what other parts I should change while I'm in there. So far I got:
T belt water pump idler pully (next to water pump) The truck has 152,000 miles on it and the last time the belt was changed was at 75K when the head gaskets blew. I'm also going to change the spark plugs, wires (maybe) cap and rotor, fan belts and an oil change. Anything I'm missing? What about the timing belt cover seals, do they go bad? Why the idler pully? I guess if it's noisy, if not, I wouldn't bother. Then again, that bearing isn't very much money.
Replace the rad hoses. Replace all the gaskets/seals you encounter with Toyota parts. __________________ A Ron Using one cruiser to go mountain biking, and the other to collect dust. 2F-E Article McNamara gear writeup |
