Taco guys....what year did the 4 door come out?

What woud a high mileage 4 door, auto, 4x4 run? 80-100K.

Also, where is a good place to look for them used?

Check AutoTrader.com. I found my '02 DCab Prerunner(2WD) TRD pkg. on there for a good price. It only had 24k miles on it. Got it for $18,900 about 6-8 months ago ish.

I believe the 4-doors came out in 2001, maybe late 2000.

4x4 brings more money. Here's a good deal on auto trader...

Good luck. I kinda wish I had gotten 4x4, but I didn't need another 4-wheel drive and was looking for a daily driver, kid hauler when necessary and a pickup bed for haulin "stuff". And mostly, they just look COOL!!! The best lookin' 4-door mini truck on the road.

I think they came out in 01 or 02. The 00's are the older bumper/headlight style and I know there wasn't any double cabs with that nose. The only thing that blows about double cabs is they were all automatics. I've had 3 V-6 5 speed tacomas and they all had plenty of power, I actually towed my fj40 on a trailer from PA to NH with one of them. If I were looking for one (which i'm not) I would just get an 04. The dealers are whoring them out like crazy right now. Everybody wants the new truck. Why pay 18 for a truck with 30-50k when you can have a new one for 21-22. Of course if you find one with 100k for 12 grand or so thats a different story.

Dcabs came out in '01. Back then you could get a sun-roof and a limited in the midwest. Sunroof has been discontinued, and when I bought my '04 (which is for sale, btw) in December of last year, I tried to get a limited... Can't get them in the midwest.

Definitley check out autotrader, KBB.com and nada...

BTW - you could get leather in 01-02 as well..
