toy v6 question

I can't remeber where i read this, but is it true?

The 3.0 out of a 1988 4-runner will not work in a 1992 4-runner due to the 1988 block not having the right motor mount placement.and in 1989 and^ the block came with bolt holes in both locations.

true or not???
