Check out my new TURBO truck!

:bounce ::boun ce2:

86 turbo! woo hoo!

Im gonna yard the R151F out of it and slap it in the Meatmobile.
Then who know what from then. probably part it out. Im just SUPER stoked about the 23 spline tranny!!! WWHHHOO HOOOO!!

Damn head gasket blew on the way home. only a 1/4 mile drive, so its not damaged. Oh well. $20 bucks and a few hours of my time, is all.

My computer is being a POS and taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R to load pics. but once they are done, I;ll post em.

Its a beat up ol gal, but I cant complain for $400

Interested in parting with the motor/wiring as a whole?

That's a SWEET deal, Wristy. The tranny alone is worth way more than that. That truck is very similar to the '87 I parted out. Base strippo model, no frills.

I actually took my cutoff tool and hacked the cab sheetmetal around those badges to get them off without damaging them, still got 'em.

Before you start cutting it up, take a close look at the locations of the shifters in your first pic. Notice how far forward they are, and how close they are to the dash lower console. That's one issue with the R151F, the shifters are about 3-4" forward of the G or W-series trannies. I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle that when I swap mine, I still have a really nice center console and boot, I don't want to lose it. I actually got another one from a junkyard yesterday to see what I can do. But it's likely that I'll have to trim the opening in the cab floor. Be sure to save the boot thingy that's screwed to the floor.

its in good shape. the engine bay is tan, the inside of the doors are red, but the door skins are factory paint??

most of the brown has been worse than macco painted on. I think the tan bed is the only thing un-molestered.

does anybody know if a W (?)56 or 58 case is the same length as a R151?

i.e are the the D-Shafts in the two trucks the same length?
