Yeah no doubt! one of those scary skeleton things they use on thier covers would be cool to paint. Or i could affix a bucnh of spikes on the inside of the bed and roll bar, for a true iron maiden!

I really dont want to. So far, in the last few years I have owned this, I have not had a problem. If the event occors that it prevents me from apporaching something, or they get all mangled, I will cut it off.

I really like this body style, and will do what ever I can to not cut it up. Trail damage is wayyyy cooler than shop damage, if ya know what I mean

I know exactly what you mean, unless you and your dad lift up the side of your mini to put a rock under the tire to get the extra inch of clearance and your door buckles inward from the pressure you put on it!

This weekend was the first time I took er out and drove it for a long ways.

A few minor snags; fuel filter got really clogged, oil seal gave out on the front axle, rear drive shaft needs to be shortened.

I get so many looks. and people are always stopping and complimenting me on it. Thats awesome. I think its the lack of real 4x4's in this God forsaken town. But it is a cool truck I get waves from everyone. even biker gangs!

all i really need is money. i am BROKE. literally. i paid rent today, and im flat broke!
Why not go beyond glow in the dark. Use an electroluminescent panel. Either get one that is cutable to shape, or use an masking layer to set the light pattern.

Here are a couple of places that sell them. Prices are a bit expensive. You need a panel and inverter plus wiring.
Large Electroluminescent Panels and Strip Lamps - LED Panels - LUMINOUSFILM.COM --USA
Electro Luminescence Inc

I used electroluminescent panel - Google Search to dredge the above sites up. No experience with them.

About the shackles, Stiff ride and stuff is one thing.... But when you flex down/out isn't there a big chance that they will "flip over" and fold the other way when you flex back in? Isn't that why they sell anti-inversion shackles?..

nope. if the spring was a wet noodle, then maybe it could bend forward. how could it go forward other wise?

besides when I took those pics those springs had zero miles on them.

Now its been about 400 miles and they are beginning to soften. And the shackles are getting the right angle.

I'm sure your setup is fine... ...The end of the spring does move back and forth... otherwise you would need no shackles at all! With a shackle almost paralell to the spring there will be less downflex... and at max the shackles could flip around and fold the other way.. And that IS why they make anti-inversion shackles..

i wanted it to have the same type of font the misfits use. they got it from an old magazine called famous monsters.

so i drew it up like i wanted and took it to a sign place called sign on

they charged me 26 bucks for 4 stickers. damn good price. damn fine stickers. exactly like i wanted.

I posted a pic of the III coat of arms that I painted on the side of my bed on shelton's myspace. He added it to his army of artists album and said "hell yeah, one of a kind. full on respects man"

"American Nightmare" in that same font would look cool, but I guess a truck can't have two names.

dude my totally non built 83 toyota turns heads and instigates conversation at the gas station every time. The body style is the best, period. But your truck is phenomenal, and inspires pirates off the coast of Africa taboot.
