FJ80 Rear axle in 87 SAS's Truck

I have a chance at a full rear axle from a low mileage wrecked 95' Cruiser... locker and all. Does anyone know the width compared to the stock on my 87 Turbo Truck? I can do the driveshaft/Brake/spring perch work easy but I don't want to do this if I have to cut down the axle.

Thanks,

Chris

forgot about the off-set. oh well. What about the diff? I don't know the size of the RP on the 80 series. Would that rear diff work in the rear of my 87 housing?

Nope, much bigger. Won't fit.

But the front diff will work with a bit of modification to your axle housing.

Just thought about the above statement and realized that I'm wrong unless you've done an SAS swap.

....but if you can get the front locker then I'm more than happy to take it off your hands for my 85 4Runner for the right price!

You don't want to run that hi-pinion diff in the rear. Too weak, you're running on the wrong side of the gears. It will not last long.
