rear spool, front open for now till $ flow increases for locrite. also got lucky and traded with local drivetrain specialist shop owner for installation of gears, for sheetrock work!:p
 
also cut the front bumper to suet my liking and welded a winch plate in for a mile marker 8000 lb, welded a rear hitch tube in for a pull pointand multi mount winch, ran warn power cables to the rear for winch & jumper cables. pics to follow soon

the warn cables are so handy.

let us know how that mile marker treats you.

seems like they are slightly more affordable than warn. and i need one.
 
mile marker... sell it while it still works.
go to e bay and search gorilla winches for a GOOD cheap winch.
they get ya on shipping... I did the mile marker thing.
the warn winch that I have on my truck was 50 bucks more then the gorilla that I have on my wifes truck.
the only reason that I bought the warn was the gorilla was out of stock and I had a run the next day. the only difference that I SEE is the shape of the casting on the motor. the gorilla now has remote. if they had it a year ago.. I would have gone the gorilla over the warn.
no way, on the mile marker, the connectors are tiny. the motor burns out.. I got to use mine 3 times. then one hard pull it smoked. done. the motor is just 50 bucks shy of a new winch.
 
Thanks for the advice on the milemarker. I'll just steal the xp off my 89 then. was going top use a multi mount setup but my good friend talked me out of it, said it could end up being a pita. and the housings are going to be black just thought it would look really cool with a colored third.:hhmm:
