Rear Window Track replacement

I tried the search, to no avail. I'm sure I remember reading a thread about this before, but how do I change the track on a first gen 4Runner rear power window?

I have one window that has a "mural" etched into the whole thing. Kinda cool, but not my thing. So I got a good deal on a replacement tailgate, with a good window, but the track isn't great. However when the PO did the etching, they put a new track on so I want to use that. I can't figure out how to remove the newer track from the older window. Once they're off, I can get the new one back on fine, but can't figure out how to get the old ones off without possibly damaging the window or the track. Anyone?

i soaked mine in wd40 to soften the rubber soak and wait a day then gently pry them off. or you can take the old window and smash it that always works

yes, smashing the old window would definately help me get the new track off for me, but don't think it will work for getting the old track off the new window though. I've since put the new window with it's old track still attached, back on the truck. It's not as nice a track as the new one for sure, but the actual track parts are all solid, so it wokrs fine until I make a decision. The rear derost won't work, but no guarantees it would have with the new one either, just looked like all was intact for screws and wiring, but had never been hooked up.
