Awesome 4runner! I noticed that in addition to your new front spring hanger, you have welded in a new front crossmember. Was that part of a kit, or did you just decide to make a better one?

Nice truck dude, that massive axle truss is badass! The diff plate looks great too.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want so much lift. With 8" of lift and 38's, you are going to be pretty top heavy.

That lift still won't clear 38" tires. Once those springs settle, you will still have to trim the the fenders. I have the Marlin 4" (USA Betts) which do not settle near as much as TG 6" Springs and I have had to tub the rear end of my 4Runner. I am running 36" IROKS which measure to most other tire brand's 37" tires.

Don't post if you don't want honesty. I have been there done that and made many mistakes along the way.

Damn that thing is TALL, but we have lift laws around here so it's rare to see something like that.
Looks nice, but I'd be getting some paint on those parts, otherwise you'll never get them apart in the future. __________________ KB1OSF '87 Toyota xcab SR5 - SAS'd, stuff '98 Lexus ES300 '04 Toyota Highlander |

anyway my original plan was for 36" tires if i don't clear 38 i just gonna buy some 36" no big deal here! i still need to decide which tire i want!
if i found this lift is too high for me i just gonna change the spring later or let them settle down! will see that this spring! ![]() Quote:
hey Hottrod81 do you have pics of your rig? want to see what 4" of lift on 36" look like! maybe for my next project! |

Way too much lift especially if you plan to wheel it. I say sell the body lift and save up for some 4" springs.
I run 37x13.5 pitbulls on 4"/5" leafs that have settled about 2 inches+ due to the runner pushing 5300lbs. I have no rubbing and I wish I was lower ![]() ![]() My buddy is running 42's and he has less lift than me. ![]() __________________ 1988 4runner 3.0 5spd soft top stock DD 1990 fj62 stock 1992 4runner 3.4, auto, dual inchworms (5:1, chromo output, twinstick, 10*) marlin sas, 5.29's, lockrite's, 30 spline longs, hydro assist, custom exo, 37" PBR's, DIY beadlocks, hs9500i/synthetic, AWshifting electronic shifters... |

word of advice you can clear 38's with just the sas kit just add bump stops to limit up travel I run a 5 inch T/G and 2 inch body and it is very top heavy wish I could have gone with just sas kit but I needed a body lift for motor clearance . the drop will make up for the up travel trust me !! move the front & rear axle forward and wheel it!!!
