Are you talking about a buggy leaf?
http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/suspen...eaf/index.html Not a toyota but you get the idea. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...57133&t=532774 Gives you an idea. Im thinking of going with a buggy in the rear of my truck and I was going to use square u-bolts that go around the springs and have a 1/2 inch piece of plate steel at the top to hold it together. Then I was going to drill two holes through the buggy and the frame, then tap the frame for two 15mm bolts between the u-bolts to assure that they don't walk around. Here's another one. It's got some good pics. http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/hottoy/mopower/ You may want to consider getting a track bar set up back there after you do this. Im going to test mine and see how bad axle wrap is but I think I'll end up needing one. I think it depends on how long your leaf springs are though like a chevy spring will have more axle wrap than your stock toyota one does. __________________ 86 4Runner, stock, and clean......for now Last edited by beatdown83fj60; 05-11-07 at 12:05 PM. |
