86 4runner good deal?

I have been window shopping for mini trucks and 4 runners for years. I am looking at a stock '86 4runner ad. It says it starts and drives well and the smog is good. The body looks decent. is $750 a fair price with that information? Was this year SAS?

If it drives well and is smog legal with a decent body, then that is a good price. Use a magnet, like the ones that come in the mail for you frig, to check for bondo around the body before buying it. If the magnet won't stick, then there is bondo there. Get some photos and post them, then we can give a better assessment of it.

I'm not really worried about bondo or rust on the body. Rust on the fram could be bad but the body isn't that important to me. I could always put a flat bed on it if worse came to worse

A flat bed 4Runner? Hehehehe

I paid 2K for mine, it had 270k miles on it, some bondo around the rear wheel wells, and pretty nice paint.... So yeah 750 seems like a good deal.

sold. Damn!

Almost 2 1/2 hours after it went on craigslist.

It hurts. Didn't even ask the guy how much he sold it for. I don't want to know.
