Horse Power And Automatic Tranny Questions

Ok... I Have An 86 4Runner That Has An Automatic In It.

We Went Wheelin Today And When I Got In A Tuff Spot No Tires Would Turn. So I Wold Have To Back Up A Few Feet And Full Throtle It To Get The Tires Moving Fast Enough To Make It Up The Ledge. (I'll Post Pictures Later)

I Was Wondering If There Is A Later Version Of The Automatic That Will Mount Up To The 4cyl That Has Lower Gearing.

Or Is It Just I Need More HP?

More Hp would be ideal, but regearing or a dual case setup would be just as good.

P.S. autos with the 22r/re really make that thing a dog.......just in case you were wondering.

Yes I Know I Can Switch To A Manual. But I Dont Really Want To.

I Was Just Wondering If There Is Another Toyota Auto That Would Mount Up To The 22re That Has Lower Gearing.

But I Think I'm Just Going To Get A Better Cam, Bore It Out, And Put A Turbo On It. Or Something Like That.

I Would Like To Keep It All Toyota. If My Tranny Blows, I Have An 85 Mini Manual Tranny And T-case As A Spare.
